Blokes Shed Open Night

The "Green shed" project

The Green Shed at Gumeracha will be open for you to come in and have a look and to be part of the team who will start to deck out the shed and work on ideas for its use.

Come along - bring a mate and join us for a sausage sizzle in the shed.

• We have a blank canvas for you to:-
• create an area for people to learn and share skills;
• meet new people;
• work on community projects;
• have a fun place to come along and tinker.

There will be a demonstration of a home made jet engine, built using a car turbo charger, firing up (bring your ear plugs!). This engine was shown at the Fighter Jet Museum. You will also have time to chat and give your ideas.

Let’s Do Inspiring Story

The first time this story has been told with full movie footage!

In June 2002, 2,000 volunteers worked for six days straight to construct an eco-treated timber playground for the community, at Port Noarlunga. What started off as a small idea turned into a huge tourist attraction for the southern area.

Anne Ellis, Coordinator of the Torrens Valley Community Centre was the General Coordinator of the playground and she is sharing the inspiring story of the build with full video of the 6 days - a wonderful story for all ages!

Four week course starting Friday 5th March 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm with the field trip on Saturday March 20th at 8:00pm for the best light.
